Wishing everyone a prosperous New Year filled with joy, love, and many good reads. I’m excited to share my latest news as the year begins.
I’m so pleased I found Georgia, the editor of my second novel, Lisa — Letters in Suitcases Abandoned. I’m deeply grateful for the care she brought to editing Parts 1 and 2. It means a great deal to hear that the writing resonated with her, especially the way it weaves past and present. That emotional thread is exactly what I hoped to capture, and her encouragement reassures me that it’s landing as intended.
Her edits are spot‑on: elegant, unobtrusive, and clarifying. I really appreciate how she’s helped sharpen the immediacy of certain moments without losing their pace or tone. I’m very grateful for that.
Georgia is already so excited to get started on Part 3 — Lisa. She’s keen to explore how the story’s emotional arc develops and to help shape the next layer of voice and perspective. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and I’m looking forward to seeing how her careful attention will bring fresh clarity and depth to this next section.
My editor thoroughly enjoyed editing Part 1 — Anne. She said:
“You capture a young girl’s voice so well, and you really feel the combination of her naivety and intelligence. It’s such a brave and interesting way to open a story, and the changes I’ve made have been in the hopes of simply enhancing what is already there.”
About Part 2 — Chana she said:
“I was so impressed by this; the writing was so beautiful and it was such a moving way of blending past and present. I changed very little, just some tidying up and a few adjustments to make sentences more immediate — but that’s all that was needed.”
I’ll keep you posted as we move through the final editing process. Expect updates on progress, and I’ll be announcing the cover reveal and the official launch date in the near future — I can’t wait to share those milestones with you!
