I’m excited to share a brief progress update on Letters in Suitcases Abandoned as the book moves closer to publication.
Last week my editor, Georgia, returned her edits for Part 3: Lisa and the Epilogue, and her response left me both humbled and encouraged. She told me she has “deep admiration” for this section and that it had her “absolutely hooked.” She described the writing as “very poetic, surprising and moving,” and highlighted an amazing twist at the end regarding one of the characters. Of the Epilogue she wrote that it was “very emotional and read like a prose poem.” Her words mean a great deal and reassure me that the emotional core I’ve been aiming for is resonating.
I’ve incorporated Georgia’s tidy edits and careful refinements, and today I completed a final pass for continuity and pacing. The next stage of production is underway, and proof copies will soon go to my beta readers. I’ll share a launch date as soon as it’s confirmed.
The book cover is revealed in the image below.
